A note to "pro-lifers".......

If you have to tell a blatant lie to convince others to join you in supporting your cause, then you really need to question the validity of your cause.  I am talking about the so-called "pro-life" advocates. You constantly post about the "babies" being killed, or about the “children’s’ lives being lost” by abortion when you know good and well that children and babies are not being aborted. Saying so doesn't make it so, and you saying it because it brings drama and emotion to your position is deceitful. You know this. You know you will never get as many people on your side in a reasonable debate on the subject by being honest and using terms like embryo or fetus, so you resort to lying.

You DO KNOW that If I told you I couldn’t see any difference between a walnut and a walnut tree you would know, not just think, that I was lying. A walnut possesses all the genes and DNA of a full grown tree, and the potential to become one, but you’d call me out for lying in a heartbeat if I said I saw no difference.

Likewise, you know that there are plenty of differences between an embryo, or fetus, and a baby.

So when you talk about abortion, please use the honest and correct terms. (I won't hold my breath until you do). I don't have any hope, desire or need to change your belief about abortion. But just rest knowing that most of us out here in the world know how much of a liar you are. I wish you would just stop it.

Everyone should question their positions on an issue if you have to tell lies to get other people to support a point of view. A willingness to stoop to this dishonesty opens people up to manipulation and has allowed room for you and others like you to be manipulated by people who don't really give a rat's ass about your religious concerns (think Trump). They just know that catering to your fear and shame mongering gets you on their political bandwagon.

There are plenty of reasons to support the right to have an abortion. This article....though from several years ago....hits many points straight on.  https://www.salon.com/2015/04/24/i_am_pro_abortion_not_just_pro_choice_10_reasons_why_we_must_support_the_procedure_and_the_choice/
